MackLander, LLC is a community and residential services organization dedicated to supporting adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities and individuals experiencing mental health challenges. Through person-centered programs, structured support, skill development, and community engagement, MackLander helps individuals pursue greater independence, confidence, and quality of life.

Our purpose is to enhance quality of life by helping the people we serve develop practical, social, and work-related skills that support greater independence, confidence, and meaningful participation in the community.
Through structured, person-centered services, MackLander provides opportunities for individuals to strengthen daily living skills, improve socialization, build greater self-sufficiency, and become more actively engaged in community life.
MackLander’s broader service history also includes supportive care for older adults, including assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, light housekeeping, and other personal support needs through its home care service model.

MackLander, LLC was founded in January 2013 by Shelley Parker-Mack, LPN, and Melvin Parker, III, M.S. Together, they bring more than 25 years of experience in healthcare and in serving individuals with developmental disabilities.
The organization brings together Macksimum Alliance Home Care Service and Lizzy’s Adult Community Service Center. Through these two entities, MackLander delivers support in both community and residential settings while staying grounded in compassion, professionalism, respect, and service.

Meet the Founders
Leadership Shaped by Experience and Community
Chief Executive Officer
Shelley Parker-Mack, LPN
Shelley Parker-Mack co-founded MackLander, LLC with her son, Melvin Parker III, in January 2013. Her entrepreneurial and healthcare career includes more than 20 years serving older adults and developing personal care homes throughout the CSRA. She founded Macksimum Alliance Home Care Service in 2008 and now leads MackLander’s two entities, including Lizzy’s Adult Community Service Center.
Her leadership reflects a longstanding commitment to helping people, supporting families, and strengthening communities through compassion, dignity, and service.
Chief Operating Officer / Lead DDP
Melvin Parker, III, M.S.
Melvin Parker III co-founded MackLander with his mother in January 2013 and leads community and residential services for individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges. His earlier work includes serving as a Graduation Counselor at Alcovy High School and working with metro Atlanta agencies to help at-risk youth strengthen social, coping, and behavioral skills.
He is president of Piecing It Together, Inc., founded in April 2018 to support people with developmental disabilities, youth aging out of foster care, and people experiencing homelessness. Melvin earned both a Master’s degree in Post-Secondary Education with a concentration in Psychology and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Business Administration from Troy University. His future goal is doctoral study in Community Counseling.
